The ASR is running an online short course on ‘Basics of Rheology’ from 11 am to 2:45 pm on 8 December. Cost is $80 for students/$160 for non-students. This includes one year's free ASR membership, so come along and get your annual subscription paid for!

In times such as these, a rheology enthusiast cannot but wonder: Can rheology help against COVID-19? If any of you are working on using rheology in the global battle against COVID-19, or any other disease or medical condition for that matter, we welcome your stories. A summary of these will be presented at the AGM.

Call for nomination to serve on the Council

Everyone interested to serve on the ASR Council should please email your nominations to the Secretary, Dr Heather Shewan (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by 5pm 29th July 2020.  Nominations must be accepted by the nominee, and supported by two members (which can include the nominee).

Howard See Future Rheologist Travel Award 

Applications for the 2020 Howard See Future Rheologist Travel Award, valued at $2000, are now open. This is an initiative by the ASR to support Australian post-graduate students to advance their research career. The travel award will assist rheologists with their costs to present a paper at an international rheology conference. All eligible rheologists are encouraged to apply.

2019 Korea-Australia Rheology Conference
Daejeon, South Korea starting 15 November 2019

 

The next Korea-Australia Rheology Conference will be held in Daejeon, South Korea starting on 15 November 2019. The event will provide an international forum to showcase rheological research in Australia, Korea and the broader Pacific region. All scientists and engineers interested in rheology are invited to participate in this conference.
