24 January 2012:  special seminar

On the 24th of January 2012 the ASR's seminar series kicked off for the New Year with a special lecture from Prof. Gareth McKinley, visiting from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA, in conjunction his colleagues Randy H. Ewoldt and Christopher Dimitriou.

Following the seminar, Prof. McKinley, the ASR Committee, and a few other ASR members went to dinner on Lygon Street, in Carlton, which is well known for its Italian restaurants.

Welcome to the ASR

The Australian Society of Rheology is open to all who are practicing, or have an interest, in the field of Rheology. There are no formal requirements for entry. We are privileged to number amongst our members leading Australian Rheologists from both Academic and Industrial backgrounds.

The membership of the ASR is drawn from academic, government, commercial and industrial backgrounds and as such provides a strong and broad base of rheological knowledge. We are also delighted to have a number of overseas members. A principal aim of the Society is to form a bridge between academic research and industry.
